Ross Stiner brings to the table over 30 years experience in the areas of commercial real estate financing and taxation, property management, and lease administration. Eleven years of service on the City of Olathe Planning Commission has only enhanced his expertise in land planning, zoning, development, and related building matters.

He is former chairman of the City of Olathe Planning Commission, a longtime member of the Olathe Chamber of Commerce for more than 30 years, and a member of the Olathe Economic Development Council since its inception in 1986.

Ross helped to establish the firm of Fishman&co. Commercial Realtors back in April 1971. His personal approach to real estate then, as now, is to try to place himself in his client's shoes, and advise each customer as if every decision made is as if he is handling the transaction for himself.

Ross feels that Fishman&co. is in the center of growth for the Kansas City metropolitan area and perfectly positioned to play a key role. As developer, he initiated the development of the Mid-America Industrial Park and Deerfield Business Park. He also played a vital role in the transaction which brought in the Prairie Highlands Golf Course/Residential Subdivision. Ross purchased the land 12 years ago, secured a buyer, and arranged for all related utilities and services.

While his influence is probably stronger in the Johnson County area, Ross represents clients from both the East and West Coasts. His expertise in the financing end of land planning and development is due primarily to his combined experience on the Olathe Planning Commission and Senior Officer with the First National Bank of Olathe. Ross brings that same caliber of service to every finance package proposal.

As he drives around Olathe he takes pride the various projects he's had a hand in. According to Ross, the key to this business "is to put yourself in the shoes of the buyer or tenant and ask yourself, what would they want." Previous clients really become friends - which is what truly builds repeat business.

Ross is married with two adult daughters and four grandsons. He is also very involved in his local church where he been a member of the Board of Elders for the past 10 years.
